POLLUTION CONTROL SYSTEM FOR AUTOMOBILES

SYNOPSIS

The pollution seems to be a  very big problem in the world. Our aim is to control the carbon content which is coming out from the smoke. Here a grease material is used to absorb the dust particles in the smoke and is mixed with the gel.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The pollution control system consists of a hollow cylinder. The helical shaped baffle plates are fixed on a shaft that runs through the hollow cylinder. The two ends of the shaft are fixed with bearing. The DC motor is connected to the shaft. The baffle plates are placed inside a cylinder and the two ends of the cylinder are made airtight. The smoke enters into the hollow cylinder by the inlet port one end of the cylinder act as inlet port and the other end acts as an exhaust port. The baffle plates are coated with carbon arresting jelly, say grease and when the exhaust gas is allowed to pass inside, the inlet becomes contact with the baffle plates the grease absorbs the carbon particles in the exhaust gas because of helical baffle plates when dc motor to which the baffle shaft gets started. When the shaft rotates the baffle plates rotates.

ADVANTAGES

  • Reduction of air pollution
  • Cost is less
  • Maintenance is easy
  • Easily fixed at all vehicle
  • Less weight

DISADVANTEGES

  • Equipment cost in high
  • Power is required to drive the motor

APPLICATION
